1: HOUSE ENERGY RATING SIMULATION
We just need House design blue prints to start Home Energy Simulation using approved energy modeling software such as HOT2000. Later, we discuss proposed heating, cooling and ventilation systems. This is the stage where we provide cost effective upgrades to meet the BC Energy Step Code compliance targets.
2: PRE-PERMIT ENERGY STEP CODE REPORTS
Energy simulation outcome provide details for energy consumption, energy losses, rating in GJ/year etc which gives sense to get control on building choices. These details go to Energy Step Code calculations. Pre-permit compliance reports are prepared at this stage.

3: BLOWER DOOR FAN TESTING
On site air leakage testing using blower door fan equipment to measure the ACH (Air Changes per Hour) and to find the air leakage locations. Conducting this test before the dry wall is installed, gives opportunity to seal the air leakage points. We conduct another blower door fan test once the house construction is complete.
4: AS BUILT ENERGY STEP CODE REPORTS
Once the house construction is complete, As Built details are incorporated in the energy simulation file generated for the pre-permit compliance reports and As-Built Energy rating reports are prepared.
